New thesis on women in graffiti!

I hit a milestone today. When I woke up and checked my email I found a Google Alert about a new citation to my work (to lots of my work, actually).

Check out “Writing Outside the Gender Lines: Women Graffiti Writers of California and Their Navigation of Public Space,” an MA thesis by Denise Nealon, California State University of San Marcos, Department of Sociology.

It’s humbling to see a thesis that moves from my work and I hope to see many more studies of the grrlz in the graffiti writing world.
